Here is a poem I wrote in 2000 about Westminster Abbey in Mission BC
The Abbey
Soft Light across the altar falls
From high above, scattered windows
Full of light and sky reach our souls
To God
On tip-toe whispered prayers we wait
To sense them caught in incense smoke
Rising up to Heaven
Waiting on our knees
For the answer
In Adoration for the One who cared
More for us then Life
So conquered Death
That we might join Him Forever
Eternal Lover of our souls
The music rising
With the prayers
From some ancient liturgy of Saints
Long dead
Alive now in Word and Song
Behold His Body
Now Revealed
The Sacrifice for Sin
Resurrected Reconciled
Forgiven, Healed
Restored
From the voices
Of a million prayers
What joys or sorrows told
Here in this Holy Silence
In the Presence of the Lord
